CHICAGO, IL - Al Nisa Designs and founder Carmen Muhammad are pleased to announce the return of Al Nisa Designs to the 3rd Annual Torino Fashion Week in Turin, Italy on June 26 - July 3, 2018. Last year, Al Nisa stole the show winning two prestigious awards.

This year, Carmen Muhammad is slated to host her own show during Torino Fashion Week and will be joined by five MGT & GCC designers and one Muslim designer from the Al Islam Community. These designers will be featured in a special catwalk presentation on July 1st dedicated to U.S. designers of modest clothing. This event is sure to be a milestone in the history of mainstream fashion week events and a crowning event at Torino Fashion Week.

In 2017, following their debut, Al Nisa Designs was mentioned in Vogue Italia and numerous other Italian publications that covered Torino’s fashion week events. In the UAE National newspaper, which provides news events to more than 2 million Middle Eastern households, the headline read “Pink Hijab Ladies stole the show at Torino Fashion Week.”

For more than two decades, Ms. Muhammad has actively pursued her passion as a modest designer. Her many contributions, achievements, and sacrifices along the way of building her brand were met with many challenges as she most recently stated, “I’ve had many highs and many lows with the biggest hurdle being finding the resources to fund the development of my collection, and to promote my designs at major fashion week events held around the world. My struggle has been bittersweet, when I think about the progress we are now receiving as modest fashion designers it has been worth it. Over this past year we have made a lot of progress in building an awareness around the Al Nisa Brand in Italy, Paris and most recently Dubai. I truly thank Allah (God) for the success He is granting me and all the designers of modest clothing, and I will God-willing never give up or never stop dreaming.”
